Gambo has over 25 years of experience as a live performer. Having started out as a drummer,
soon getting bored with sitting at the back, he developed his vocal talents
and has performed many styles and genres of music. His powerful, soulful delivery
will make you stop and listen. He also occasionally plays guitar with the
band as well as percussion, when the mood takes him. |
Lance "Tap-Tap" Taylor is an experienced and imaginative drummer. Playing many genres of music over the
years has given him a strong understanding of dynamics and a musical feel. As
previously mentioned, his partnership with Andrew forms the foundation of Gambo's
Blues Band. Lance has had the dubious pleasure of being a close friend of Gambo's
for over 30 years. |
Chris "Two Way" Armson is an accomplished blues musician with an original approach to the music. He is
indeed sinister (a left-hooker) but can, remarkably, play a right-handed guitar
as well! His unique style brings a new angle on traditional Chicago Blues. He
compliments Adam's playing superbly, filling out the sound and creating imaginitive
solos. Chris also plays with the excellent "The Jack Of Hearts Band". |
Adam "Iron Gob" Howard is a first-rate Blues Harmonica player. His ability to play subtle rhythm parts
as well as exceptional solos gives the band a full sound and his inter-play with
Armson makes for a constantly changing dynamic. He, Lance and Gambo are old friends
having played together in a previous blues ensemble, "Loose Caboose". |
Andrew "Mystery Man" Molloy is an established Blues Bassist having played with several Blues outfits over the
years. He and Lance are the engine-room of the band. Driving the music along
with an amazing tightness and understanding. They lay down the rhythms upon which
the songs are built! Andrew is also responsible for the recording and production
of the band's demos. |
